Solar Powered I-Phone!!!

Apple files a new patent for the technology which would enable a layer of solar cells to be inserted under a touch sensitive screen of the sort used in I-Phones.

It was only about a week or so ago when my dearest Aver was contemplating getting an I-Phone as the pictures she took with her handphone was not Mac Compatible. Now Apple is coming up with this new technology which will change the entire mobile apparatus industry. Expected to follow suit will be MP3 players and even Laptops. It is not only ECO friendly. It allows the user to skip the hassle of having to charge the phone ever. Unless Apocolaypse descends on us in the form of a giant smoke cloud that threatens to kill all mankind which is possible only if all the Volcanos on earth erupts on the same time..... but that is technically impossible...... but than again if that happens...... who will need handphones anyway?

The updated iPhone comes with a faster internet connection, GPS, video conferencing and the ability to charge its own battery using solar power.

I think I am falling in love with the I-Phone too..... you gotta say my lady here has good taste... the interface is gorgeous with stunning colours and the design is slick and irresistable. The Mac platform is so visually stunning that you will be just blown away........ Drats.... Aver have just brainwashed me into become an apple addict.....

1Gbps by 2015 !

Technology can be a scary thing. Some people on earth do not even know what a Computer looks like and yet we are gearing outselves up for a Technological Reveloution over the next few years.

For those who are sitting on front of their computers enjoying their 100mbps access...... Don't even be contented with that...... Singapore is intending to get its entire infrastructure up and going so it can support 1Gbps by 2015. That is 10 times what you are enjoying now..... for those with Singtel jamming away at 10mbps..... that is going to be 100 times faster........

Singapore is going Mach 5 in the competition to be a IT hub.

One of the groups bidding for the project, called OpenNet, promises to complete the work by 2010, just two years from now.For those who are wondering what the hype is about...... Well....... a full length movie can be downloaded in mintues instead of days..... of course that is provided your computer is capable of withstanding and supporting it. The technology is already deployed in Japan, Hong Kong and the US...... So we are like living with the Dinosaurs compared to them........

Fibre Optics is the way to go and Starhub has already started to use the technology althou Singnet has followed suit. The traditional line however will not become obsolete as Singtel has stated that some of its consumers might prefer to maintain the cable system while using fibre optics for calls.

Overall, better deal for IT nerds like me...... 2015...... I can't wait......

What is Censorship?
The word censor has its origins in Rome from the post of the Census who was the magistrate in charge of supervising conduct and morals, examining material and removing whatever is objectable, sensitive or harmful. The modern concepts of censorship are not that different. It is still about the control of speech and other forms of human expression often by (although not) limited to government intervention. The motives behind this are to stabilize or improve the society over which the government would have control. It is basically the suppression of ideals through the regulative structures of the law. This can be done through sanitization (removal of information altogether) or whitewashing (omission of certain parts which are deemed to be in conflict with the system.)
The five main forms of Censorship that can be considered are as follows:
• Moral Censorship which pertains to materials with questionable ethics.
• Military Censorship is the process of keeping military intelligence and tactics confidential and away from the enemy to counter espionage.
• Political Censorship occurs when there is a need to conceal secrets from its citizens. This is to prevent revolts and rebellions and also prevent other countries from taking the chance to exploit the country in times of weakness.
• Religious Censorship is removing material which will be deem objectable or undermine a certain religion.
Corporate Censorship is the process of halting information being distributed that will put the business in a negative light.

I woke up with a throbbing pain in the sides of my head.
The world is spinning faster and with more intensity with every breathe I take.

Black Velvet robes with blood red petals.
Red hot sweat trickles down her lovely face,

The moon crept wearily out of her fluffy pillows
and endowed the land with her faint soft glow.

She knew she had only but an instance and bidded her time.
Creeping like the shadows into place
so that only the scent of fresh ,wet soil lingers in the sweet night breeze.
It was nearily time..... the second watch..... the changing of the guards.
She glanced again at the moon that had retired back into its momentary slumber.
She had to act fast.......

She moved like a falling feather.....
undetected as she passed the gate.
The guards has slacken and a smoke from their rolled up weed could they hope to catch.
The lights of the weed crackled and burst into life.....
giving life to the dead still night.
She swept down to her pouch and drew out her weapon......
and struck it mercilessly, twisting and turning......
She thought she had won..... that her mission was complete at long last.....
than a voice came from behind her.......

There is always a sense of drat when you open up the post box and ya see the state's letter head on the top of the envelope.
Did I do something wrong? What is it that you want from me this time?

There is always a sense of uneasiness everytime the government decided to show some concern for the average citizen like me. Parking tickets unpaid, suspension of license an the scariest of them all will be a resevist letter.

You MUST show your care and concern for the nation so you have to sacrifice your time, money and body to protect us.Dun get me wrong....I am all for patriotism,I even have a computer mouse that has the stars n cresecent of the nation on it but seriously, I am at the most productive stage of my life and this is so distracting and counter productive.It is like your mum calling you in the middle of your O levels paper an asking ya to buy some cooking oil home NOW or there will be no dinner....grrrr.....

And please dun try to solve our problems on our behalf.
The last time I checked ...... we just end up in stickier situations than ever.
We ask for better public transport so up comes the gantry n cab fares sky rocketed.

We asked for poverty to be reduced e so up goes the GST.

We asked for better security measures so we end up payin 100 to 300 bucks (when we lose it) for a piece of plastic that we carry where ever we go.

We wanted a fair n corruption free ruling party so the minister's pay go up as well.

Thanks for making the world a better place.

The Real Count Dracula

Contrary to popular belief, Count Dracula is not the guy to make blood sucking look sexy on a public media platform and nope he is not a cape donning prima donna with a brethern of sexy female vampires as his henchmen.

Count Dracul was born Vlad Tepes in 1431 in Translyvania. His forefathers were rulers of Walachia and Dracula came about as they belonged to a secret fraternity of Knights known as The Order of the Dragon or Dracul.

Dracula itself meant son of the Dragon or as some call him: the son of the Devil.

Vlad Tepes was held hostage for long periods during his youth by the Ottoman Empire. Upon his return, he was soon made the ruler of his lands. Vlad the Impaler was an exteremely violent man who liked war and enjoyed torturing his victims who are all prisoners of war.

The atrocities made by Vlad in the German stories include impaling, torturing, burning, skinning, roasting, and boiling people, feeding people human flesh (their friends or relatives), cutting off limbs, drowning and nailing of hats to the heads of people.

Impalement was Ţepeş's preferred method of torture and execution. His method of torture was a horse attached to each of the victim's legs as a sharpened stake was gradually forced into the body. The end of the stake was usually oiled, and care was taken that the stake not be too sharp; else the victim might die too rapidly from shock. Normally the stake was inserted into the body through the anus and was often forced through the body until it emerged from the mouth. However, there were many instances where victims were impaled through other bodily orifices or through the abdomen or chest. Infants were sometimes impaled on the stake forced through their mother's chests. The records indicate that victims were sometimes impaled so that they hung upside down on the stake.

Such was his attrocities that he was named Vlad the Impaler and later became the inspiration behind the Character of Count Dracula.

The Origins of Vampirism

Eve was not the first woman that God made as a companion for Adam.

Before Eve, there was Lilith. She who was made the same way as Adam. She was not the submissive specimen that will yield to the demands of God and Adam. She questioned God and longed to claim her birth right. For that, she was casted out of the Garden of Eden.

Not long after, Adam and Eve were also casted out after eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Eve bore Adam 2 sons- Canine and Abel. Both were given control over the land. Canine over the plants and Abel over the lifestock. Canine and Abel in turn had to give their their choicest crops and lifestock as a sacrifice to God. Canine's sacrifice was not looked upon positively as Caine's ability to grow and harvest them was born of God's curse upon Adam: that he should toil in the dust of the Earth. Abel's mastery over the animals came from God's gift of the same skill to Adam, and this made his sacrifice pure. Thus Abel was blessed over Canine.

Canine rebelled and murdered his brother in cold blood and flee the lands in fear of God's wrath.

It was during his time fleeing from God that Canine meet Lilith in the lands of Nod, east of Eden.

She gave Caine succor and showed him the power she had found, and Caine, desiring that power, fed on Lilith's blood to gain it. He then fled her house rather than battle her rage and continued his journey alone. Among his newfound powers were invincibility against Adam's descendants, great speed and strength, ability to manipulate time, shadows, flesh and mind; these powers would later evolve into the Disciplines which his children would wield, although with far less potency than Caine possessed.

At this point, Caine was visited by the archangels Michael, Uriel, and Gabriel, each in their turn and offering Caine salvation if he would but seek forgiveness from God for murdering his brother. Caine rejected each offer, feeling that God was a hypocrite and that he was the wronged party; enraged by his lack of humility and the bitter defiance he showed them and God, each angel cursed Caine:
Michael cursed Caine to forever fear fire;
Uriel cursed him to be unable to dwell in sunlight and to live forever in darkness;
Gabriel cursed him to be neither living nor dead, neither human nor beast, unchanging, undying and ever without hope; to feed upon blood alone; that hunger shall devour mercy; and that his offspring shall war with one another, young and weak against old and strong, that he may be their judge and know what it is for a father to condemn his children.
